GLG produces friction saw blades for stationary or flying cutting of pipes in carbon steel such as
St 37 and St 52, with tensile strength between 300 and 600 N/mm2.
The wide range of our blades can be used on all the machines from leading manufacturers which employ friction technology, such as Abbey Etna, Bonak, Dreisten, Fives Oto Mills, Mannesmann, MTM, Vai Seuthe, TRM and Trennjaeger.
Friction saw blades work at a high rotation rate, like 110m/s, to heat up the cutting zone and remove the material when it is in plastic state.
The cutting-off operation is performed dry: to prolong blade life lubrication has to be only at the end of the cut.
FRICTION CIRCULAR SAW BLADES
Our friction saw blades can be supplied with diameter between 300 and 1.000 mm, in two different materials: chromium vanadium steel (80CrV2 / 1.2235) or tungsten molybdenum steel (73WCrMoV2 / 1.2604).
The blade normally doesn’t have the hub, but it can be provided on request.
